Agreement
By creating a Helburu account or using the app, you accept these terms. The service is operated by Alejandro Bilbao (sole-founder), based in Madrid, Spain.
Your account
You sign in with email + magic link, Apple, or Google. Keep your sign-in method secure — anyone with access to it can request entry to your Helburu account.
One account per person. Don't share login credentials. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account; the wipe is immediate and irreversible.
What we provide
Helburu is a learning app. We deliver short daily lessons, a daily news brief, and reference content ("the wiki"). We try hard to be factually accurate but the field moves fast — a question might be out of date by the time you see it. The Report button on each question is the fastest way to flag this; reports are reviewed and a question with three reports is auto-suspended pending review.
Helburu is not professional advice. Don't use it as a substitute for legal, medical, financial, or other regulated counsel.
Subscriptions (Premium)
Premium is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing and renewal terms are shown in-app before purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel them through the App Store / Google Play subscriptions page. Helburu does not handle billing, refunds, or cancellation directly — those are handled by the platform.
If you cancel mid-period, your Premium access remains active until the end of the paid period. We do not pro-rate refunds.
Acceptable use
Don't use Helburu to attack our infrastructure, scrape content at scale, reverse-engineer our recommender, abuse the report system, or violate the rights of other users or third parties.
Don't use the app to do anything illegal, defame people, or distribute malware. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do.
Content + IP
Helburu owns or licenses the questions, wiki content, brand, and code. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for your own learning. You don't get permission to copy or republish the content elsewhere.
If you submit feedback, reports, or exit-survey responses, you allow us to use that input to improve the product. We never publish your feedback with your name attached.
Disclaimer + liability
We provide Helburu "as is". We don't promise the app is bug-free or available 100% of the time. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the app — but nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited under EU consumer law.
Termination
You can stop using Helburu and delete your account at any time. We can suspend an account that violates these terms; in that case, we will tell you why and let you appeal by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer based elsewhere in the EU/EEA/UK, your local mandatory consumer protection rules also apply. Disputes go to the competent courts of Madrid, Spain — without prejudice to your right to bring a case in your own jurisdiction as a consumer.
Changes
If we change anything material, we will surface a one-time notice in the app before the change takes effect. Your continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance; if you do not accept, you can delete your account.
